Acceptable Use Policy
ResumePay exists to help people present their real experience well. This policy, part of our Terms of Service, describes what that rules out. It applies to everything you do with the Service.
Be truthful
- Don’t use the Service to invent or inflate employers, job titles, dates, degrees, certifications, results, or other qualifications.
- Don’t verify an item in your profile that you know isn’t true. Verifying it tells the Service it may use it in what it writes for you.
- Don’t submit applications, cover letters, or interview answers you know to be false or misleading.
Use your own information
- Don’t create an account for, or build a profile about, someone else without their permission.
- Don’t impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to a person or organization.
- Don’t upload documents with other people’s personal or confidential information you aren’t allowed to share, such as colleagues’ details or an employer’s trade secrets.
Respect the Service and others
- Don’t try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or past any security or usage limit, including by creating extra accounts to get more free points or invite points.
- Don’t probe, scan, or test the Service for vulnerabilities, except as part of a responsible disclosure: tell us what you found and give us time to fix it.
- Don’t overload or disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means other than the features we provide.
- Don’t copy, scrape, or resell the Service, including the internship listings, or use it to build a competing product.
- Don’t reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Don’t try to make the AI produce harmful, hateful, or illegal content, or to work around its safeguards, for example with instructions hidden in an uploaded document.
- Don’t upload malware, or anything illegal.
Use the listings fairly
- Apply to internships on the employer’s or job site’s own pages, and follow their rules.
- Don’t use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages to employers.
If something’s wrong
If someone breaks this policy, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close the account, as the Terms describe. To report misuse or a security problem, email [support email].
